Media reports have sounded the alarm that Mary Harney, the destroyer of the Irish health system, will be visiting the Louth county hospital next month.
Considering her role in downgrading the hospital and removing vital A&E acute services, such a visit is being seen by many as unacceptable, a criminal returning to the scene of her crimes.
The People Before Profit Alliance in Dundalk intend on protesting this vist. The options discussed thus far have included a standard protest with protesters holding placards and making their presence heard. A ring around the hospital is also being considered whereby protesters will make every effort to stop the minister for destruction entering the hospital grounds at all by blocking road access.
