Town Clerk, you've been served!!

People Before Profit Dundalk disability spokesperson Mark Fitzsimons this week served a seven day notice of high court action against Dundalk town clerk Frank Pentony. The notice has also been placed in the hands of the council's legal agent Lawrence Stein.

The letter demands that Frank Pentony explain why he refused to place questions on the agenda of the town council meeting, why he ignored and refused to supply necessary information regarding a planning vote to councillors who had requested the information and why he sent emails to councillors advising them not to subit affidavits in a high court case which took place this week in Dublin and which People Before Profit and LEG members attended. This of course is the tip of the ice berg when it comes to the questionable actions of the town clerk, Frank Pentony.

We do not expect Pentony will respond to our notice and that we will be seeing him soon in the high court. We will keep our readers fully informed of developments as they emerge. Together we are strong and can make positive change.
